If you're looking for your own space to better understand yourself and your experiences, whether managing common life transitions or processing and moving forward after trauma, I offer a supportive environment and years of experience collaborating with clients to live more authentically as themselves as they manage whatever challenges come their way.
If you and/or your partner are uncertain about the future of your relationship, discernment counseling may help. It is a time limited process of structured sessions consisting of conjoint and individual time to support you each in navigating the choice between maintaining the relationship as is, deciding to separate/divorce, or choosing to engage in couples therapy.
If you and your partner(s) are finding yourselves stuck in the same patterns of feeling misunderstood, hurt, or unsure of how to move through life transitions in productive ways, couples therapy can help you build on your strengths and more effectively navigate life as a team. I have extensive experience supporting couples as they move toward trust after betrayal and rebuild connection and intimacy when life stressors seem to get in the way.
If you keep noticing that past experiences are interfering with your day to day life and relationships, EMDR is a trauma-focused treatment modality that uses guided eye movements while focusing on specific aspects of a traumatic memory to help reprocess and integrate traumatic memories in a more adaptive way.
If you're not sure what to do with challenging behaviors or are noticing your child struggle --whether at school, home, or both-- play-based therapy can provide a fun space for kids to express themselves and learn helpful ways to manage difficult emotions or experiences, with your support and involvement throughout the process
If you're frustrated with your sex life, whether related to desire, arousal, enjoyment, or communication with your partner(s), sex therapy can offer the space to better understand yourself and learn ways to create a more fulfilling sex life. Sex therapy is talk therapy that can address misinformation or unhelpful attitudes/beliefs about sex and sexuality, work through feelings of anxiety or shame related to sex (sometimes related to religious/cultural beliefs or experiences of trauma), offer ways to improve communication with partners about sex to improve intimacy, or navigate changes due to illness or other life events.
